"I beg you…to have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer."
-Rainer Maria Rilke
I keep praying for guidance. Asking what the next step is. How do I pursue a situation? A relationship? A question? And I have come to realize that I KNOW what my next step is. I know what my answer is for now. Maybe down the road I will understand a more full, complete answer. Or, as Rainer Maria Rilke said, "live my way into the answer." Maybe some of the "whys" will be better comprehended. But for now, I know my answer and next step.
God is calling me to be patient. To wait. To be still.
So I will.
